January 28th I finishied all the tests! At last my life as a sophomopr had finished!! The spring vacation started. I have many plans that I'd like to do. First, I'll study for Kanji Aptitude Test and Test for Japanese Language. My respected teacher said " junior is the most important time during univercity life." When I listened his words, I decided to do everything I can do for my future. Not only studying but also to practice instrument and to success with diet, I wanna do my best.


By the way, yeaterday I cleaned up my room because of disposal of many handout. And I found one interesting handout. It is the assignment for the class of the situation of America. For this homework, I had to make a story. The story had to be based history of America. I choiced the event of 1863. 1863 is famous for the Emancipation proclamation. THE SAD PAST


In the Civil War, President Lincorn was being deeply immersed in thought.


"We are people!"


The boy's voice is brought back. This is the last words of him. He was getting weak in Lincorn's sight, but Lincorn couldn't do anything.


The past Lincorn cannot efface is the death of a friend, Tom.


When Lincorn was six years old, he met Tom for the first time. Tom was a slave who was employed by Abraham family. At first, Lincorn was frightened by Tom. Tom was nine years older than Lincorn, and he spoke a little different language, and he was a black. However, Tom was so kind. Tom knows many things Lincorn didn't know. For example, he told about his village and nature of Africa. Then Lincorn began to like Tom. Lincorn felt Tom to be brother. When Lincorn worried about friends and study, Tom heard him and gave advice. In the front of Lincorn, Tom always smiled.

However, the smile didn't keep forever.

One day, Lincorn's mother said.
"Don't talk with Tom."
"Why?"
"Because Tom is slave. If you are with him, you will be bad boy."
"But, Tom is so kind. He told me many things I don't know."
"Anyway, you must not talk with Tom. If you are woth Tom, your father never permit you."
Lincorn cannot be persuaded.

"We are slave, so it cannot be helped."
When Lincorn said this to Tom, he said.
"But I am person. Never forget, Lincorn."
Tom looked sadly.
Lincorn worried about his parents, but he continued to talk with Tom secretly.

However, at last, the secret was out.

"I told you not to talk with my son!"

It was Lincorn's father that shouted. The moment he saw Lincorn and Tom, he seized Tom by the lapel.
"Stop, Daddy! Stop! Stop!! Tom is not guilty!"
Confusedly, Lincorn tried to stop. However, his father interrupted him.
“Shut up! Do not hear this man like a worm! It doesn't know anything!!
The moment Tom heard the words, the expression of his eyes changed. Lincorn had never seen terrible eyes like that.
“I’m not a worm, I’m a person!”
It was the first time when Tom resisted. Lincorn’s father never forgave Tom. In front of Lincorn, Tom was beaten again and again. Lincorn tried to stop tearfully, but he could only see tom getting weak.
“We are people!”
Tom cried out, and died.

Tom was thrown away in the forest like a worm……….

“I will make them people.”
Lincorn mutterd and determined to declare the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863.

The Feeling for Writing IV

I could get some opportunities for thinking about by myself. We always think some things in Japanese. However, in Writing Ⅳ I wrote in English. It is a little difficult, but I could make the most of this chance in other English class, Listening or Speaking. And I was lucky to check my spelling or grammar. I usually used Microsoft Word, but sometimes teacher or other students taught me. I was able to improve my grammatical skills.


Furthermore I could know what other students think. Using Blog is convenient to know ideas each other. In class I could check other student’s blog and leave comments. This opportunity is good for getting other deepen ideas. And to get ideas I read some English book or movie. In my daily life I don’t read or listen English, so it was good to get chance to touch many type English.


In writing Ⅳ, I learned the importance to know my and other ideas and English skill. However, I can’t write essays without dictionary. I need more vocabulary. When I’m junior, I would like to take TOEIC test a number of times. Next spring term, I’m going to take this class again. So I aim at getting more vocabulary and idiom. I don’t know if we use blog and computer in next class, I want to value the opportunity to use English.

The Special Chief Clerk Tadano Hitoshi

Do you know this Japanese movie? This movie is so famous because the story is very simple. I will explain the stories.

The main character is a man. His name is Tadano Hitoshi (只野仁). He has two faces. During the daytime he is lackluster chief, but at the night he changes to so smart gentleman. He has special commands. It is means the safe of society is saved by him. He always fights bad guys at night. What simple story! However when I feel hazy, I can feel refreshed!!

At the first, this story is only on TV as drama. So you can lend DVD or Video at the rental shop. Let's challenge to feel refresh!!

My Memories of Winter Vacation ~ Part 4 ~

During Winter Vacation, I came back to Kagoahima. And I spent vacation with my parents. At New Year, I went to a Korean barbecue restaurant with family. My father and mother usually say "After your leaving home, we don't go somewhere to eat so much. It is the first time in a long time." I was a little happy and a little sad. I can't explain my this feeling an that time.

However, the Yakiniku was delicious. In Kumamoto, I don't go eating Yakiniku because I don't have much money. It is too luxurious for me to have a dinner at the family restaurant!! Father, Mother and me smiled for a long time.

I was so happy because I could have such a happy dinner with family.

And a cat enter my family. Look at the picture. He is black cat, but my father named him "Shiro"

I laughed involuntarily. I asked the reason and then he answered "Because he is black cat." Do you understand the character of my father?

Shiro loves my father in spite of his strange name. When father opens the window, Shiro always comes near the window and gaze his master, my father. At the first Shiro can't enter our house. But recently sometime Shiro enters, and sit down near father. Father always give some cat foods. they look so pleasantly.

I hope that my father, mother and Shiro live happily together.

Free- Writing!! ~Fortune~

New year's day, did you pull some fortune? I pull only one fortune at the "Taniyama shinto shrine" in Kagoshima, my hometown. Japanese fortune has 7 grades, excellent　luck (大吉), considerable luck (中吉), good luck (吉), modest luck (小吉), future good luck (末吉), bad luck(凶)
greater bad luck (大凶).


I went to the Taniyama Shrine with my heart beating! At the store, there is one box full of many fortunes. It was difficult for me to choice only one because the fortune might decide my future!!! The price was not high, so you want to pull again and again. However pulling only one time is good point of fortune.


By the way, my fortune is excellent luck!! I pull excellent luck for three years! How lucky am I?? If you pull fortune, let's show each other!

My Memories of Winter Vacation ~ Part 3 ~

New year eve, how did you spend your time?? Very before the Eve, I decided my way. Every year I spend New years eve with this!! What is it?? It is a very favorite TV program.


Do you know "Gakituka"?? It is short form of "Dawntown Gakinotukaiya Arahennde!!"
This is comedy TV program at the midnight. However, at New Years Eve, this program is broadcasted for 6 hours!!! How fanciful!! And this TV has special event every year. Do you know it?? It is "Don't laughing during game!"


This rule doesn't change every year. Only the site is changed. This year's site was the newspaper publishing company. The challengers were 5 entertainers. I love them!!
During this game, they could not laugh! If someone laugh, the man will be stricken on the hip. The staff of this TV tried to make them laugh by many dirty way!! 5 guys couldn't stand laughing. I also stand! I think it is impossible to stop laughing.


Furthermore, this program starts at 6:30 p.m. and end at 0:20 a.m. So If you are absorbed in this TV, you will forget to start countdown, and when you come to, the new year begins! Last year I also forget countdown. I didn't notice that new year begin till my parents told me. However the best points of this TV program is that you can end the last year with smile and start New Year with smile! I believe the proverb "Fortune comes to a merry home".

My Memories of Winter Vacation ~ Part2 ~

December 30th, I met members of Kyudo club. During my high school life, I was member of Kyudo club. All of us were very good friends, and we often went to some places to have a fun. After graduation, we entered different universities each other. However when we come back to Koagoshima, we usually share a supper. And this day, we had fun time!! All members are over 20 years old, so we can drink!! All of us love drinking!! We could laugh naturally.

I forget to say, in this meeting, there were a female junior. She is 1 years younger. To my surprised, she entered foreign university!!!! I couldn’t believe it!! She said staying different country is a lot of hard, but it is very enjoyable. Now, she was studying only basic speaking English. However from next grade, she will start specialist studying. I want her to do her best in Canada!

We told our latest news each other. Some have worries, and some gave advices. I think that we get older, but we can be more thoughtful. Next week, we would have a coming-of-age ceremony. We can meet again at this party. I want to meet them forever, again and again after the ceremony!

For the ceremony, all of us would wear long sleeves. We told about the wearing. We looked the pictures each other. 3 years ago, they were innocent. However in the pictures, they are looked ladies. “You suit sleeves so much!!” All members said so to me. I was happy, and I can’t wait the day of coming-of-age ceremony.

My Memories of Winter Vacation ~ Part 1 ~

Hello!! Long time no see. How are you? How did you spend your vacation? I want to talk about my vacation. In this post, I would like to write about parties.


December 28th, I could meet the classmates of junior high school third-year. When I was third-year student, I didn't talk with my classmates so much, especially men! I think it is because of adolescence. Now, I am 20 years old. I like more talking with friends rather than in school days. Before the alumni meeting, I was a little afraid. But when I started to talk old friends, I gradually felt fun!
The end of meeting, I could talk all classmates. I was really happy.


I forget to say, our class teacher came to this party. Most of classmates has changed, but our teacher have not changed so much. I didn't get on with my teacher, but in this meeting, he told me good advices for university life or working. End of this meeting I began to respect him. I thought that I am happy to have such a good man as class teacher. It was good opportunities to forget the problems in Kumamoto!!
